Here are a few often asked questions
Q - How do I get a quote?
A - Just let us know the date, the venue location and how long you need music and we'll get you a quote with 24 hours.
Q - What is the best way to get in touch?
A - Best is to first use the form on the Contact Page, but feel free to email us or give us a call on 07429 102039.
Q - Once I have a quote, how long until I must confirm?
A - It's always a good idea to book your date early as our diary can fill up well in advance. We're already taking bookings for 2019! After we send you a quote, we will hold your date for 48 hours until you confirm.
Q - Are there any Agency fees?
A - NO! The Whitehall String Quartet is an independently managed ensemble and there are no agency fees.
Q - Am I protected with a written contract?
A - Yes, the WSQ will provide you with a written contract to be signed and confirmed with a small deposit.
Q - Can I choose the music you play?
A - Absolutely! You can choose your music from our repertoire page or make any special requests for what you would like us to play. If we don't already have it we will find it or write a special arrangement for you ourselves!.
Q - When do you arrive at the venue on the day?
A - We normally arrive approximately 1 hour prior to start to set up and prepare.
Q - Will you speak to our MC and registrar?
A - Yes, either prior to the day or when we arrive we will go over cues & timings to make everything run smoothly.
Q - Are the musicians insured?
A - Yes, all members of the WSQ are professional members of the Musicians Union and are fully insured.
Q - Can you play for an outdoor wedding or reception?
A - Yes, we often do, but you know English summers! As long as there is adequate coverage like a marquee or canopy to protect ourselves and our valuable instruments from sun and rain then we'll be happy to do so. It's always good to have an indoor 'plan B' with your venue just in case.
